Help with what CPU and video card i should get?

I am thinking about getting the amd Phenom ii x4 945 deneb with a XFX GT240XZHFC GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR5 video card. My only concern with the vidweo card is that it isnt direct x 11. does that matter? and also is the processor and video card good for decent gaming and stuff? is not any suggestions in the same price range? thanks :)|||The 945 CPU is more than enough to play any game out there. However, the GT 240 is kinda low end, and won't do very well in graphics intense games with any decent resolution. Directx 11 isn't necessary, but will enhance the graphics on games if they support it. (which not too many do right now). You will have to compare specs on video cards such as memory bit and speed and number of shaders to get idea of how high of performance a video card is. A decent video card is gonna run at least $150 bucks. And most decent video cards will require a 6 pin power connector from the psu because they draw a lot of power.

A video card will make or break any computer when it comes to gaming, because it does alot more work than the processor in most cases when it comes to gaming.
