If I were you, I'd be looking at either the CPU, the Ram or possibly the motherboard to see if you have something slowing you down...that card is near the top and there's no reason it shouldn't run the apps you listed without lag...provided the rest of the computer is on the same level/w the card...

In order to fully benefit from that card your computer would have to be at or better than this...(not familiar with Intel equivalent)...

mobo...770 chipset

CPU... Phenom II 955

Ram...

XP-Pro...4G

Vista 64 Bit...6G

W7 64 Bit...6G|||Amazon has ATI HD 5750's listed for under $150.

EDIT: Just noticed the 5750 is almost dead on par with your card. Something to keep in mind is that ATI cards tend to work better for DirectX apps, where NVidia's are better for OpenGL - from my own experience with both DirectX games and OpenGL based games.

To get any serious increase in performance for an ATI card, you'd be looking at the 5800 series which start around $290.|||it all depends on how much you wanna spend. that card looks fine I have 9800m gts and i can play any game i install on my labtop. anything that has been out the last year or 2 should be fine to get
