Video Card?

Which video card is better for the price AND performance?

2.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150275|||Tough call.... Normally I'd opt for the 8800gs simply because the cartegory of a card is generally more important than the generation of the card. The 6800 series outperformed the 7600, the 7900 cards smoked the 8600 models, and so on...

So a mid-range 800 vs a newer entry-level 600? Gimme the better card from an earlier series. BUT- Since this is a GS rather than a full-blown GT, I'll say go with the 9600GT.

.

The head to head comparison is linked below:|||Thats kind of tought. The 9600GT is a newer card, but a lower model. The 8800gs is an older card, but a middle size model.

looking at the specs you probably would want to get the 9600GT. But search the internet for reviews of this card, they usually well compare it to other cards in the same price range.|||the 9600 is better but you might consider an 8800gt which would be much better than both and with some of them having recent discounts and mail in rebate might be only 20 more than the 9600gt here's a comprehensive list of the BEST cards to own and it's sorted by price range. and give explanations and review of many cards.

good luck|||The first one is better, however the second one will do even the most graphic intensive games.|||8800
