It depends on how much of a gaming enthusiast you are. Most people don't even need a dedicated card, in fact, the GTX 260 is already pretty high-end considering its price. That said, using nVidia SLI or ATI CrossFire just allows you to put up to three/four video cards together for additional performance. Typically, the performance increase is about 30-50%, never 100%. The more GPUs/cards, the less increase per additional card, which is why dual video cards is typically the most recommended. Granted, two consume more power and cost more than one...|||Th performance is only really noticeable when you have 2 or more monitors running. Just buy a better graphics card, it is cheaper.
In short: No.|||It truly is. two 9800gts of the 1GB variety.
